I recalled that I was once a quiet girl who would never ever take part in any outdoor activities. After I had attended the Serangoon Guides camp in secondary one, I started to enjoy going to camps. We have also gone to lots of schools to attend many campfires. I soon realised that guiding was my right choice. It really opened up my horizons, exposing me to all the challenges and fun.

The four years in guiding has taught me values which I could never have learnt in the classroom - leadership, discipline, courage and patience. I am glad that my teachers-in-charge and Young Adults are by my side when I encounter difficulties. I feel a sense of belonging when I am with my sister guides and thank them for putting up with me. I was proud and honoured to receive the Puan Noor Aishah Gold Award from Mdm Puan Noor Aishah in 2006! I believe the Serangoon Girl Guides will continue to scale new heights and the flame of guiding will never die.

Being a guide has taught me the value of responsibility and the importance of leadership. I have learnt many useful skills that will help me in the future and acquired a bag full of memories that will last me for a lifetime. I have seen myself grow in guiding and want to thank the teachers who have guided me and the friends I have made in this amazing journey.
